The Sholls
Our CMS link missionaries Peter and Sarah Sholl and their 3 daughters are now in Sydney having finished 12 years of ministry in Monterey, Mexico. During that time Sarah has had a wonderful ministry to women, teaching them about God from his word. She is so happy to report that many of these women, who previously knew little of God’s love, have stepped up to lead Bible Study groups in Monterey. Sarah plans to read the Bible with women.
Peter has been extremely busy organising and teaching the MOCLAM course in Spanish in various cities in Mexico and travelling to several countries in South America and also Cuba.
The pastors and key lay people who have completed these courses will greatly benefit the churches they belong to and be instrumental in furthering God’s kingdom. The work will continue under the leadership of Adrian Lovell, a CMS missionary in Bolivia.
The Sholls plan to resign as missionaries with the NSW branch of CMS after Summer School, but Peter has accepted the role of a Regional Mission Director with CMS Australia that will involve a lot of travel and being responsible for the pastoral care and placement of missionaries in Asia.
Their exciting news is their eldest daughter, Karina is engaged to Jono and they plan to marry in January. Lucy is happily working at the moment, having finished high school and plans to study at University next year. Their youngest daughter, Miriam is happily studying at St. Andrew’s Cathedral School to complete her schooling.
Peter and Sarah will be visiting us from 24th – 30th of October and will be at each service over the weekend, so there will be many opportunities to hear from them.
Please pray for them as they will all be missing good friends they have made over the years and will be adjusting to life back in Australia.
