Thanks for visiting our site! We hope you find what you need, and get a feel for our church. We’re passionate about Jesus Christ: we want to know Him, honour Him in the way we live, and share Him with others
Please look around! See what we do. Listen to a talk. Or better still, come to one of our activities! There’s something for everyone, and we’d love to meet and welcome you
WHAT TO EXPECT
Everyone is welcome at all our services – but each has a different ‘vibe’
Both Saturday Church at 5.30pm and Morning Church at 10am on Sundays, have lots of families attending with a creche and high quality kids’ church and junior high programs.
Both congregations include people of all ages, cultures and life situations: single, married, divorced; tradies, stay at home mums, professionals, those who are unemployed, and those who are retired. Our focus, as in all Jannali Anglican services is on what God says in the Bible and what this means for us today.
Every Sunday, Morning Church 8am is our early traditional congregation with hymns sung with an organ, a service from a contemporary Sydney Anglican prayer book, and some of the friendliest people you’ll meet. We love hearing what God is saying to us in the Bible and responding to him in prayer. Church goes for 60 minutes, followed by refreshments at 9am. Our building is accessible to people with limited mobility.
Youth Church is a creative service lasting 45 minutes for those in junior high at 4pm on Sunday afternoons. Many students help in the running of the service through music, welcoming, Bible reading, and prayers
We move into discussion groups straight after the service for half an hour. After the discussion groups we feed everyone at SNAC from 5.20pm-5.45pm. SNAC is great value at just $6 each week
At 6pm on Sunday nights, those in senior high school, uni students, apprentices, full time workers all the way through to those who are retired (and everyone in between) gather for our diverse evening service. The service has a expositional Bible talk, contemporary church music, prayers and readings from those in the congregation, and sometimes segments of testimony and interview with members.
There are about 40 adults each week. Some are new to Christian things, others have been serving the Lord faithfully for many years. We use a contemporary Sydney Anglican prayer book and sing traditional hymns. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of the month. Tea, coffee and a light snack is served afterwards. Our building is accessible to people with limited mobility
IN MOST SERVICES YOU CAN EXPECT...
Singing – usually 3 or 4 songs
Bible - the Bible will be read from the front, followed by a talk explaining and applying the reading
Prayer - someone will lead these from the front
News - updates of church news and upcoming events
Food - after the formal service ends, there is usually some sort of food (depending on the time of day) which is a great time to meet and chat with people
Dress - most come dressed casually – but come as you are!
God builds his church through people prayerfully proclaiming His Word, focused on the gospel message about Jesus.
We aim to be a church that is deep in the word, devoted to prayer and passionate about people.
Our plan to make disciples of all nations has five key activities:
• Connect – lost people connecting to Christ.
• Grow – saved people growing in Christ.
• Serve – saved people serving Christ.
• Belong – people belonging to a loving community.
• Gather – people joyfully gathering for public worship.
In all we do we aim to glorify God and love people.
