Gather to train to serve

Neil Fitzpatrick   -

In this season of being allowed to gather in groups of up to 50 at our church building, we are using the opportunity for church members to train in order to serve Christ.

The courses are listed below. Please email the relevant staff member to ask any questions, or to book your place.

Connecting others to Christ

Saturdays 9-10:30am –  20 June, 27 June & 4 July

Josh Maule – [email protected]

Have you wanted to bring a friend to know Jesus, but you don’t know where to start? Do you feel daunted by the idea of evangelism? Join in for three weeks on how to grow in praying for unsaved friends; bringing them closer to meaningful conversations then gospel conversations; reading a gospel with them; inviting them to Christianity Explored or Life Explored; and God-willing, seeing them come to know Christ.

Growing others in Christ – One to One

Sundays 8-9:30 – 21 June, 28 June & 5 July

Neil Fitzpatrick & Lorraine Hiller – [email protected]

Do you want to help someone grow as a Christian? Perhaps a new Christian who needs to be established in the faith, or someone struggling with continuing to follow Jesus, or someone who is not able to join a growth group or just someone you’d like to encourage. We’ll think about why we’d want to grow someone, how we can grow in confidence, different ways we could go about it, and what resources are available.

Growing other in Christ: Leading A Bible Study 1 (using pre-written material)

Sunday 19th July, 8-10am. Sharp start and finish.

Andrew Barry – [email protected]

Meeting in the ministry centre for two hours:
(1) How to prepare a pre-written study and
(2) How to lead a pre-written study
We’ll be using the Ephesians studies written for term 3 as our examples.
It’s ideal for leaders to come along to brush up on their skills and also for them to bring/send along a member of their group who should give leading a study a go and perhaps do it this term.
Please RSVP to [email protected]

Gospel Centred Parenting (On Zoom)

Wednesdays 7:45-9:15pm – 8 & 15 July

Andrew Barry – [email protected]

Youthworks’ Gospel Centred Parenting Course coordinated by Andrew Barry & led by Peter and Melanie Morris. The first session will lay a foundation for gospel centred parenting by examining what the Bible has to say about the role of parents in impacting the next generation. The second session will build on that foundation to support the parents in developing their own practical plan to impact their children with the gospel.
