From Jannali to the World

There are millions of people around the world, who don’t yet know Jesus.

Our church is deeply committed to doing what we can to make disciples of all nations – all for Christ Jesus. We serve Jesus in our own lives here, but we also serve by sending people to proclaim the gospel and to train leaders overseas.

We currently partner with 4 overseas mission families – the Sholls in Mexico, the Overhalls in Chile, the Hadfields in Hong Kong and Mal and Leanne in SE Asia. From July we’ll also take on a new missionary, Miriam Bradshaw. We send and support these people through partnership with the Church Missionary Society (CMS).

Supporting missionaries is an important part of being a faithful follower of Jesus, and gives us the privilege of being “co-workers with the truth”. No one else except us will support overseas gospel work.

“You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God, since they set out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from pagans. Therefore, we ought to support such men so that we can be co-workers with the truth.” (3 John 6-8)

Are you currently actively supporting our missionaries through CMS?

Although our support is not just financial, CMS does need money to keep our missionaries (and about 130 others) serving Jesus overseas.

In June each year CMS promotes its “Lasting Hope Appeal” . This year the target is $1.6 million to keep all the missonaries in the field. You can see more in this video.

If you would like to make a one off contribution, or become a regular giver, visit the CMS website for information or to set up your giving.
